Turns out, the Pessio Garage's adorable RD1 'Porknose' is ideally suited to the fabled 'Brickyard.' Who knew? Its best lap (with yr. obt. svt. behind the wheel) was about on par with Mario Andretti's record pole speed of 169.9 mph in qualifying for the 1967 Indy 500. This is a 20-lap race setup (a ten-lapper seemed stingy), and over that distance there will definitely be some tire degradation (about a half-sec per lap slower at the end of that run), so some tire-management skills...
